How it Works
There are only 30 MLB teams, so entry is on a
first-come, first-serve basis. A random drawing will determine the team you
get.
Teams will be randomly chosen once
everyone has joined. The games starting on Friday,
June 23rd will start this pool.
The winner will be the person who has the
team that scores all the runs from 0 to 13 (only final
scores count) first.
When the pool starts, 14 numbers (0
through 13) are listed for each team. Then, when your team
has a final score that matches one of those numbers, this
counts as a "hit" and you cross that number off your list
(like bingo - see Example below). The first person to get all 14 numbers is the winner.
To
make things interesting, once someone has won the pool, the
person who has the team with the LEAST number of "hits" will
win a prize, as well.

In the example above, Tom and Dick are in the lead
because they only need 11 more "hits" while Harry still needs 12
Notes:
Once
someone's team gets their 14th, final hit, all the rest of
the games for that particular day count towards the final
standings. So that, if someone gets their
final (14th) "hit" in a day game and your final (14th) "hit"
comes out that evening, you both win and split the "Winner"
prize. The same goes for the "Loser" prize - all tied
players at the completion of the final day of the
pool (i.e. the day someone wins the pool) split the "Loser"
prize.
More Notes: if
your team scores MORE than 13 runs in a particular game,
that is great for the team, but bad for you - it counts for
nothing in this contest. Also, the game must be an
OFFICIAL game; if it is suspended or postponed to a later
date, the runs do not count.
